It's encouraging that 800 years after Francis of Assisi set out to "repair" a struggling Church, the new Pope Francis I will be doing the same. Francis I appears to be a person of humility, obedience, compassion and love, qualities often lacking in today's world, and also qualities of the humble saint whose name he chose. We can hope and pray this bodes well for the Church and humanity.
